Meet Our Staff

 Jana Meyerstein

Mrs. M has been teaching since 1975, including work as a High School Teacher in Tulare. She has used the Orton Gillingham program for many years. Jana’s passion is helping all students in all areas of language arts.

Sally Hess

Mrs Hess has a lifetime teaching credential in K-12th grade education. She taught in the Visalia Unified School District for many years. She is completing her Masters Degree in Reading. Sally teaches Language Arts and Math.

Mr. Hess is a seasoned teacher who taught at Mt. Whitney for 35 years. He teaches Math, Geology, Geography, and History. He taught Mexican American History and US History for many years at MWHS. He is calm and a very easy to work with.

Sarah Doellefeld                         (Picture Coming Soon)

Mrs. Doellefeld has come to us with an extensive background in teaching, and reading is her speciality. A public school teacher for 12 years in Nevada, she brings to us many new ideas from her previous districts.

Marcelino De Almeida                       (Picture Coming Soon)

Mr D teaches Foreign Languages, and specializes in Spanish, French, Italian, and Portuguese.
He comes to us from Europe, and works with Kindergarten through College level. He has a distinct accent, and is very knowledgeable in five languages. He can help people learn English, and is very calm and has the ability to connect with his students.

Barbara Wissink                 ( Picture Coming Soon)

Mrs. Wissink has been a teacher for over 21 years. Much of her teaching experience has been in Exeter Public Schools grades 2-8. She also was on the staff at Visalia Christian Schools and the Reading Clinic. Barbara has unending patience and is a very effective instructor.

Fred Flores                         

Mr. Flores comes to us from MESA, the Mathematics, Engineering, and Science Achievement Association. He teaches Basic Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, Trig, Pre-Cal, AP Calculus, and Calculus 1 & 2. Fred Flores also teaches beginning Spanish.

Sarah Stricklin                 

Sarah tutors Writing at College of Sequoia. She is a gifted writer, and has the ability to explain seven forms of writing to the students.
