Meet Our Staff
Jana Meyerstein
Mrs. M has been teaching since 1975, including work as a High School Teacher in Tulare. She has used the Orton Gillingham program for many years. Jana’s passion is helping all students in all areas of language arts.
Sally Hess
Mrs Hess has a lifetime teaching credential in K-12th grade education. She taught in the Visalia Unified School District for many years. She is completing her Masters Degree in Reading. Sally teaches Language Arts and Math.
John Hess
Mr. Hess is a seasoned teacher who taught at Mt. Whitney for 35 years. He teaches Math, Geology, Geography, and History. He taught Mexican American History and US History for many years at MWHS. He is calm and a very easy to work with.
Kristen Reed
Mrs. Reed has been a classroom teacher for 22 years working with preK to college students. She is a credentialed teacher who specializes in language arts and writing.
Sarah Lawler
Mrs. Lawler has a teaching credential and spent 18 years working with PreK through 5th grade classes. She now enjoys the ability to work one-on-one with students.
Alfredo Flores
Mr. Flores comes to us from MESA, the Mathematics, Engineering, and Science Achievement Association. He teaches Basic Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, Trig, Pre-Cal, AP Calculus, and Calculus 1 & 2. Fred Flores also teaches beginning Spanish.
Sarah Stricklin
Sarah tutors Writing at College of Sequoia. She is a gifted writer, and has the ability to explain seven forms of writing to the students.
Yacoub Innabi
Mr. Innabi has studied inorganic chemistry and physics. He has able to teach subjects ranging from basic math to the advanced subject of differential equations.
Veronica Villasenor
Miss Villasenor is a skilled math instructor who can teach beginning and advanced subjects.
Anthony Jasso
Mr. Jasso teaches Algebra and Geometry, but he is also available to teach Chemistry and Physics. Mr. Jasso is pursuing a career in Electrical Engineering.
Karissa Garlin
Miss Garlin is studying Psychology at the College of the Sequoias. She teaches basic math through Algebra II. Miss Garlin is also involved in the COS Dance Team and plays soccer.
Austin Harding
Mr. Harding is pursuing studies in mechanical engineering with a strong background in physics. He has taught math up to the calculus level.
